Scholarships and Bursaries

The Isle of Man International Business School (The IBS) has a number of Scholarships and Bursaries which may be available to financially assist international students. These are awarded to students on an individual basis.

Students who wish to be considered for a Scholarship and/or Bursary should complete the appropriate form and return it with their completed degree programme application form.

What is the difference between Scholarships and Bursaries?

  • Scholarships - Are awarded on academic grounds and could be awarded to assist towards course fees, travel or accommodation, living costs etc. Some scholarships are available only to students who meet specific criteria.  In these cases there will be a cut off date when a decision will be made about which student(s) is/are successful. Scholarships range in value from small amounts upwards to full fee scholarships.
  • Bursaries - Are awarded on financial grounds and could be awarded to assist towards travel, accommodation, living costs etc. (but not course fees). Bursaries range in value up to £1,000.
