Seven local delegates have successfully completed the first stage of the Institute of Directors Company Direction Programme which is offered at the International Business School in collaboration with the University of Salford.

All participants are now progressing on to the next stage of the programme and will take final examinations for the Diploma in Company Direction later on in April.

The programme incorporates seven individual courses covering essential subject areas for aspiring and practicing directors such as 'finance for non-financial directors' and 'strategic business direction'.

Alison Kennedy director of the IOD Company Direction Programme from the University of Salford presented participants with their Certificates and wished them success in their exams which can contribute to gaining the qualification of Chartered Director (C Dir) which Alison describes as 'a qualification that demonstrates to clients and customers that their organisation is professional and is run with effective business leadership and sound corporate governance'.

A second Company Direction Programme is due to commence on the Island later in the year.  Anyone interested in finding out more is welcome to attend an Evening Preview at the International Business School starting at 6pm on Tuesday 6th of May.  Alternatively contact Sue Smart at the University of Salford on 0161 295 5802 or s.j.smart@salford.ac.uk.
