Presentation of Commemorative Stamps

To celebrate the establishment of the International Business School at the Nunnery, the Isle of Man Post Office has presented the Business School with a set of stamps issued in 1975 commemorating the life of Sir George Goldie-Taubman.

The 5½p stamp shows the Nunnery, which was Sir George Goldie's birthplace and family home. 

At a short ceremony at the Business School Mr John Shimmin, MHK, Chairman of the Isle of Man Post Office Board, presented the framed stamps to the Director of the Business School, Professor Roger Carey.

In making the presentation Mr Shimmin said, "This presentation is a symbol of the partnership that is now developing between the Isle of Man Post Office and the International Business School."

The Isle of Man Post Office has sponsored a Research Fellow at the International Business School to carry out a major customer satisfaction project.
