Coorse-traenal da Stiureyderyn Lhongyn
Overview
This course is a joint initiative between the Isle of Man Ship Registry and the Isle of Man International Business School (The IBS) and is delivered by a wide range of industry experts.
The course was put together over the course of a year by staff from the Isle of Man Ship Registry, the Isle of Man International Business School, Dorchester Maritime Ltd and the Döhle IOM Group and EMCS (International) Limited.
The course, which lasts nine days, has been accredited by IMAREST (the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology), the Nautical Institute and DNV (Det Norske Veritas).
The previous four occurrences of this course have attracted delegates from all corners of the globe and the next course will be held from from 10 April to 18 April 2010.
Is This Course for You?
In today’s working environment, the ability to demonstrate a recognised level of training can be invaluable. This course has therefore been created to provide a “quality assured” qualification for all Ship Superintendents, including those with many years experience.
The course is primarily designed for recently appointed or aspiring entrants into the world of ship management - whether working for a small ship owner, or for one of the larger ship management companies; or whether applying from a Deck, Engineering or Naval Architecture background.
There are no pre-required qualifications for joining the course.
The course has no specific bias towards “wet” or “dry” vessels.
