Which CIM Programmes Are Offered at The IBS? The IBS is delighted to announce that it will be offering 3 levels of Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualification from September 2009 (subject to demand):
‘ Payable to The IBS (cheques payable to Isle of Man Government) Choosing to study for CIM qualifications at The IBS provides many benefits; you will receive face-to-face tuition and exam preparation workshops in a seminar style environment and learn from highly experienced and qualified lecturers and practitioners. Networking with other local marketing professionals enables you to share your experiences and knowledge. Plus, you will gain a valuable marketing qualification without the cost or inconvenience of travelling off-Island. What Financial Support is Available? Tax relief is also available if you pay for your own vocational training subject to certain conditions. This training relief is available for course fees, books, materials and stationery. You will be asked to complete an application form which will be used to establish your appropriate entry level. Once this has been agreed, you will receive a letter confirming your place on the programme and details of your induction. You will receive a reminder of your induction date the week before it takes place. You will not receive any further communications from The IBS until your induction takes place. About the Chartered Institute of Marketing
Financial support may be available from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Subject to continued support the DTI will pay 35 per cent of the course fees for students studying for the Professional Certificate and Professional Diploma provided your application is approved by the IBS who will claim back the funding from the DTI on behalf of the students. Professional Postgraduate students can apply for financial assistance from the DTI, though this will be assessed on an individual basis. The DTI reviews its support at various times and there is no guarantee that support will continue.
