Head of Academic Programmes
Programme Leader for BABM, BABS and MSc IBF

Professor Lloyd-Williams is our Head of Academic Programmes with responsibility for the coordination and development of all our Degree Programmes and lecturing staff.

He is also the Programme Leader for our BA (Hons) Business Studies/ Business Management degree programmes and the MSc International Banking and Finance.

Mike has extensive academic teaching and research experience in banking and finance. He has worked for several UK universities including the University of Wales, Bangor and Sheffield Hallam University and gained his banking experience at Libra Bank and Midland Bank plc.

His research interests are centred on contestability in banking markets and his publications in this area have been published in the ‘Journal of Banking and Finance’ and the ‘Journal of Economics and Business’. He is currently an external examiner for the University of Greenwich Business School and the University of London and until 2005 was an external examiner for Glasgow Caledonian University Business School.

Mike is originally from North Wales and has been at the Isle of Man International Business School since 2001.
