Ian lectures at the Isle of Man International Business School in the BA (Hons) Business Studies Preparation for Work module and the BA (Hons) Business Management Personal Development module.

He also manages our undergraduate Work Placement Programme and delivers the Business School’s intensive training programme for the Department of Trade and Industry’s Small Business Start-Up Scheme.

Ian has over thirty seven years of broad business experience, gained mostly at international level. As a former senior executive for a leading global publishing and IT company, he contributed to numerous investment, procurement and outsourcing initiatives worldwide.

Since moving to the Island almost eight years ago, Ian has been appointed a Business Development Consultant to the DTI’s Business Support Scheme and is Marketing Manager of the Shell Technology and Enterprise Programme (STEP), hosted locally by the DTI. He is also Chairman of the Financial Services Sector Skills Group.

On behalf of his American clients, Ian continues to work with national and supranational agencies to resolve complex foreign direct inward investment issues surrounding the re-development of a prestigious Hotel and Golf Resort in the Caribbean.
