Welcome to the Isle of Man International Business School The Isle of Man International Business School (The IBS) is a small, specialist institution in a leading financial jurisdiction and was established in 1999 as the first Higher Education Institution on the Isle of Man. Located in a magnificent 19th century mansion house, fondly known as “The Nunnery”, The IBS offers a number of business-related Degree Programmes, Professional Programmes and Management Consultancy services to school leavers, mature students and business professionals from the Island and worldwide. Set in acres of magnificent parkland on the fringes of Douglas, the Island’s capital (see Location), The Nunnery is also an exclusive venue for Room + Ground Hire, makes an excellent Film Location and is a magnificent setting for corporate or private Marquee Events. The IBS was taken over by the Isle of Man Department of Education in April 2005 and will play an important role in the future of Higher Education on the Island.
